Energy seminar

The target group for the seminar is industrial and commercial actors, representatives from the transport industry, ports, local/regional authorities, and politicians in Viken, who all have an interest in ensuring that there is sufficient renewable power, in the right place, at the right time in our region.

The background to the seminar is the Energy Commission's report "More of everything - faster". The region already has a power deficit in key industrial areas, and it will get worse when even more industrial players and heavy transport have to make the transition from fossil fuels to electrification. Too few measures are being taken and processes are moving too slowly.

To achieve the goal of more renewable energy, it is crucial that industry/business, authorities and innovation communities are united and apply the same arguments and information base. The seminar will offer fact-based insights from business, research and innovative pilot projects.

The seminar will focus on highlighting the issues surrounding the power situation in the green shift, the opportunities inherent in grid capacity, relevant opportunities for new production and energy optimization and finally necessary regulatory changes.

We want to gather around 100 participants in Halden on this day, and will also make arrangements for the seminar to be attended digitally.
